My friend is an Office Space fanatic who said her boyfriend “looked everywhere” for this stapeler. Obviously he didn’t try this new-fangled “Information Superhighway” because a thousand vendors come up instantly. Whatever. Anyway, it came in good condition and made her happy but was waaay overpriced.

Sent this Office Space reference to a former boss who does a great Milton impression. Would have liked to be able to write a message to send with it, but I didn’t see any option to do so.

It’s a solid stapler. But the color is more salmon than red. And, the Swingline logo is on top on a metal plate instead of stenciled in white paint on the side. This is not the stapler in the movie Office Space. Future buyers beware.

I was excited when I got this as a gift since I love Office Space. But the more I looked at it, the more I began thinking that something doesn’t look right. I found some screen captures from the movie and figured out why. They are two very different staplers. Two noticeable differences are the metal plate on top with the Swingline name and the color. Maybe it’s this flourescent lighting but this stapler looks more of a red-orange. Overall, this is a good Swingline stapler that’s painted red (or red-orange) but it’s not Milton’s Red Stapler.

Dang, it’s good to be a gangster. You know what I’m talking about. Leave this by the copier and everyone will have an ‘O’ face the first time they see it.
