Very helpful and comprehensive. Lots of info. Some for beginners and plenty for old hats like me. I use it often.

I am ad admirer of Steve’s previous books and his on line column
for USA TODAY. I also have seen him speak in person. His insight
into today’s small business marketplace is quite impressive.
I think he sums up the entrepreneur philosophy with his phrase,
Passion before Profit. If you do not have passion for your
work, you will probably not see the profit you desire.
I look forward to Steve’s next publication.

The Audio CD’s were defective. About half the chapters not play at all. Just dead air! very disappointing because I want to review the information while driving.

I somehow expected this author to give me more insight as to how to find those small business opportunities but he did not.
Mr Strauss writes clearly but his ideas need more expansion.
Now, if you’re looking for those small business opportunities that really exist, and if you are having problems finding those markets where demand is way ahead of competition and there are not enough skilled professionals or labor then please read “Untapped Wealth Discovered” written by Jeff Marquis and Kerry Harrison.
These two authors tell all, are very plausible, and definitely have something to offer you. Read it if you are serious.

I checked this book out at the bookstore just because I was curious to see if it would contain what I expected, and it did. As a serial entrepreneur, I found the book of no value. However, if you know nothing about starting a business this book might help you. There are so many of these types of generic books out there that even for its intended audience, I cannot give this book a high rating.
Read my other reviews for books for entrepreneurs and starting companies.
